The Skindog Surfboards Quill model.

The inspiration for the name of this board struck us upon the initial ride. Despite its weight and adherence to traditional design elements, including 50-50 rails, a subtle nose concave, vee through the belly, a distinctive rolled-out tail, and a wide point positioned behind the centre, it exuded a sensation we can only liken to a feather gracefully descending from the sky.

Breaking down the Skindog Quill Longboard, the outline gives you a longboard that has a good full nose, which funnels all the way back to a pulled in tail. This gives the rider a lot of control in all types of wave condition.

The control from the tail gives you confidence that you can shuffle all the way to the nose and back. If you want to turn the board, sit on your back foot and the rails will engage and turn, or if you want to get stylish and make your way to pull off some cheater 5’s or even get all 10 toes off the ten you can!

The outline and profile of this surfboard allows the board to be very stable, with a giant sweet spot, so the board is extremely user friendly. This paired with the rail profile allows you to manoeuvre the board with ease and trim along the waves for as long as possible.
